Please read these Terms of Use carefully. They govern your use of the BridgeYO website, app and related resource-navigation services (together, the "Services").

By accessing or using BridgeYO, you are indicating that you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Services.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page. Using BridgeYO after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. It is a good idea to check back occasionally.

BridgeYO is a free resource-navigation platform. It helps young people across Ontario find and reach real community services, including mental health, housing, food, education, legal and community supports.

BridgeYO is not a healthcare provider, a counselling service, a government agency, or a substitute for professional care. Using BridgeYO does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, or legal advisor relationship.

BridgeYO does not provide medical advice, psychiatric evaluation, clinical therapy or formal diagnoses. For personal support, please reach out to a qualified professional or a crisis line.

BridgeYO lists organizations and programs that provide a direct service to the public, are based in or serving Ontario (or are national services available to Ontarians), and are run by not-for-profit, community-based, government, or reputable organizations.

We give first priority to the services young people need most to get by and stay safe: food, clothing and shelter; crisis and emergency help; mental and physical health; legal and victim services; newcomer and refugee supports; employment and training; and financial assistance.

We also prioritize services that reduce barriers for people who are often left out, including young people, newcomers, 2SLGBTQ+ youth, Black and Indigenous youth, and people living on low incomes.

We may decline to list, or may remove, any organization we have reason to believe spreads hate, misrepresents its services, or is unsafe for the people it claims to serve.

Listing an organization on BridgeYO does not mean we endorse it, and not listing one does not mean we do not.

A listing is our best effort to connect you with a real service. It is not a guarantee of quality, availability, or that the service is right for your situation. Where you can, ask questions and decide what fits for you.

BridgeYO links to external websites, phone lines and organizations. Once you leave BridgeYO or contact an outside service, their own policies and terms apply.

We cannot control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party website or service. Please review their policies before sharing personal information with them.

The information on BridgeYO is provided for general navigation only. It is not medical, legal, financial or professional advice, and should not be relied on as such.

The Services and all content are provided "as is." We work hard to keep information accurate and current, but we make no warranties that the content is complete, timely, error-free, or suited to your particular needs.

Community services change often. We review listings regularly and ask organizations to update their details, but some information may be out of date.

If you notice something is wrong or out of date, you can tell us using the feedback option on a resource page, or by email. We will verify changes before publishing them.

Community organizations, schools and youth groups are welcome to link to BridgeYO. Please link to our home page rather than deep-linking specific pages, and let us know by email so we can say hello.

We do not allow framing, mirroring, or deep-linking of our content, and we may ask that a link be removed if it is used alongside unlawful or harmful material.

The "BridgeYO" name, the BridgeYO logo, the BridgeYO mark, and the look and feel of the BridgeYO website and app (together, the "BridgeYO Marks") are trademarks of BridgeYO. The ™ symbol is used to give notice of our claim to these marks.

All content on this site, including the resource directory, listings, descriptions, page design, graphics, text, and code, is owned by BridgeYO or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, scrape, republish, frame, mirror, download, redistribute, or reuse any part of the BridgeYO website, app, or content for a commercial purpose or to build a competing service, without our written permission.

You may not use the BridgeYO name or logo, or any confusingly similar name or mark, to suggest that you are affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of BridgeYO, or in any way that could mislead people.

If you create or submit content to BridgeYO (for example, a Speak Up submission or feedback), you give BridgeYO a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, edit, reproduce, publish, and display that content as part of the platform.

If you believe the BridgeYO Marks or our content are being used without permission, please tell us at hellobridgeyo@gmail.com.

We may revise these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here with a new "Last Updated" date.

If a change is significant, we will do our best to make it clear on the site. Your continued use of BridgeYO after a change means you accept the revised terms.
